Jimmy will always have a place in my memories of childhood because as first cousins, we played together at Grandpa and Grandma's house almost every Sunday. In third or fourth grade we were in a musical show about Sleeping Beauty and Miss Nesbitt, our music teacher, cast us as the Prince and Sleeping Beauty because we were cousins, and in her estimation that made it OK if we "kissed". As we got older my family moved to Saltsburg
and we got out of touch. I kept up with him through Rockland relatives mostly Aunt Pauline. Luckily, I was able to visit him after he had bought Grandma and Grandpa's house. That was probably 45 years ago, which now makes me sad. May God's peace be with all of his family and friends to strengthen them in their sorrow. Jimmy will always have a place in my heart.

I extend my deepest condolences to Karen, and the children, and grandchildren. Not only do I regret not enjoying a more intimate and extensive relationship with my cousin, Jimmy, but also not having the opportunity to know you, his family.
But it was one of my special joys knowing that he was the one to initially reside in our Grandpa Dick's homestead following my own father's passing. We had much in common, although very rarely cultivated together. Our distant relationship was not due to our own doing, and had circumstances in our respective lives been different, I imagine we would have enjoyed one another as much as I always enjoyed my other paternal relatives.
May the initial emptiness, which accompanies the loss of a loved one, serve as a reminder of the sincere and authentic love that bound you together as family. And ultimately, may this experience draw you closer to the Lord Jesus Christ, who came to bind broken hearts and heal the vacuum in our lives left by those who precede us in death, and prepare us for life beyond this world.
May God be near you and bring you peace.
David E. Dick
