Hazel M. Ralph, 83, of Franklin, went to be with the Lord Friday afternoon, January 12, 2018 at the Caring Place in Franklin.

Hazel was born in Oil City on July 6, 1934.  She was the daughter of the late Nelson and Hazel Graham Stover.

She was of the Protestant faith and attended school in Oil City.  Hazel enjoyed collecting stuffed animals, camping at Kibbe’s Island, traveling to Florida for the winter, the company of her poodles, Molly and Brandi, and most especially the company of her grandkids.

In her earlier years, she had been employed by the Oil City Derrick and The Canteen at Venango County Vo-Tech.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Ralph, whom she married in 1983.  Mr. Ralph preceded her in death in 2006.

Hazel is survived by three children, Terry L. Wentling and his wife, Becky, of Reno, Karan M. Young and her husband, Ronald, of Cranberry, and Jeffre R. Wentling, and his wife, Dixie, of Pine City; five grandchildren, Karrie, Kristy, Cassie, Sara, and Jake, as well as a number of great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Douglass of Rock Hill, SC, and five step children, Bill, Dee, Craig, Dale, and Jim.

In addition to her parents and husband, Hazel was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Katie; two sisters, Bertha and Dorothy, and two brothers, Arthur and Robert.

Friends will be received from 4 – 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Hile-Best Funeral Home Inc., 2781 Rt. 257, Seneca, Cranberry Twp.  A private graveside service will be held at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date.  Condolences may be sent by visiting www.hilebest.com
