Eric David Moorehead, Jr.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Eric David Moorehead, Jr. will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 29th at the Oakland United Methodist Church, 1431 Rte. 428, Oil City (Dempseytown).  A luncheon will follow.            

           Eric David Moorehead, Jr., 41, of Polk, died unexpectedly of natural causes at his home on Saturday night, June 15, 2019.

          He was born in Franklin on October 21, 1977 to Susan L. (Boocks) Moorehead.

          Eric was an avid fan of racing, and loved helping on the pit crew for 1R and 7W.  He also enjoyed camping, and spending time with his family and his daughters. 

          He was married in Virginia Beach on September 4, 2015 to Maria R. (Reese) Barnes, and she survives.  Also surviving are two daughters, Brittnay Smalley and her fiancé J.R. Tebay of Seneca, and Taylor Moorehead of Polk; and his twin step-daughters, Tristin and Trinity Barnes of Franklin; two grandchildren: Aubree and Riley Tebay of Seneca; his mother, Susan L. Moorehead of Franklin; his brother, Craig Moorehead and his son Jacob Dyess of Franklin; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Phyllis Armstrong of Pittsfield, PA.   

          Eric was preceded in death by his father.
