Debra L. Meehan, 59, of Linden Avenue in Oil City died Monday night, January 8, 2018 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh following a sudden illness.
She was born September 29, 1958 in Titusville to Patricia (Moody) Young and the late Elbert E. Young.
Debra graduated in 1976 from Maplewood High School in Townville.
She enjoyed playing in the women's pool league at Scierka's Tavern in Oil City; and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Meehan retired from Polk Center where she worked in the print shop. Most recently she was working in the cafeteria at the Oil City High School.
She was married in Centerville on August 13, 1977 to Kenneth D. Meehan, and he survives, along with their three children: Stacy Snider of Oil City, Timothy Meehan of Castle Rock, Colorado, and Robert Meehan and his wife Deanna of Erie; and seven grandchildren: Emma and Chloe Snider, Halie Meehan, and Uriah, Lindon, Holden, and Emmet Meehan.
Also surviving is her mother, Patricia Young of Florida; a sister, Diane Young of Centerville; a brother, Mike Young of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deb was preceded in death by her father, Elbert Young; and a sister, Lisa Young.
Friends will be received Thursday (Jan. 11th) from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Friday (Jan. 12th) at 11 a.m. with Chaplain Frank Meehan, Debra's brother-in-law, officiating. Interment will follow in Heckathorn Cemetery in Seneca.
