Eva Lou "Sis" (Karns) Amon, 83, a longtime resident of Victory Heights, passed away Sunday evening, December 23, 2012 at her home surrounded by family.
Born June 23, 1929 in Oil City, she was the daughter of the late William Raymond and Elizabeth Beebe Criswell Karns.
Eva attended Cranberry High School.
She was married on July 12, 1946 to Eugene Vernon Amon, and he preceded her in death.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, puzzles, garage sales, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by six children and their spouses, Sharon and Bob Watson of Cranberry, Teri and Larry McCauley of Cranberry, Bob and Lori Amon of Florida, Dennis and Karen Amon of Florida, Lauri Stover of Oil City, and Daniel and Laura Amon of Grove City; ten grandchildren, Christine Huff, Bryan McCauley, Heather Lalley, Todd Amon, Rachael Lee, Nicole Stover, and Madeline, Scott, Nathaniel, and Elizabeth Amon; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Maggie Karns of Clarion; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Anna Miller, Grace Greenawald, and Elva Graham; and two brothers, Donald Criswell and Rev. Raymond Lee Karns.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a memorial service to celebrate Eva's life at 11 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 29th) in the Van United Methodist Church, 8540 Rte. 322, with the Rev. Linda Dinger, church pastor, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
