Christopher A. Perry, 50, of Oil City, died unexpectedly of natural causes at 2:30 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2012 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.
Born January 6, 1962 in Franklin, he was the son of June L. Harp Perry of Oil City and the late Robert E. Perry, Sr.
He attended Oil City schools.
Mr. Perry was a member of the Izaak Walton League and enjoyed shooting guns and archery.
He enjoyed cooking, hunting, and fishing.
Mr. Perry was formerly employed for many years as a cook at the Log Cabin Restaurant in Seneca.
Surviving are his mother, June L. Perry; his long-time companion, Pamela S. Daly of Oil City, three sons, Jeremy Daly of Oil City, Cody Perry of Oil City, and Christopher Perry, Jr. of Etna; two brothers, John Perry and wife Janet of Kileen, Texas, and Robert Perry and wife Kim of Oil City; four sisters, Sharon McCracken of Camp Springs, Maryland, Michele Toy and husband Joe of Oil City, Mardene Ankeny and husband Larry of Ormond Beach, Florida, and Amy Carter and husband Mike of Fayetteville, North Carolina; his father-in-law, Jack Daly, Sr. of Oil City; a close friend, Andrew Haskins of Oil City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Perry; and his mother-in-law, Mary Daly.
Friends and family will be received Thursday (July 19th) from 10-11 a.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, Inc., 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Calvin Cook, pastor of Fertigs United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in Franklin Cemetery.
