                Shawn C. Schillinger, 44, of Oil City, died Thursday morning, January 12, 2017 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh. 

                He was born in Oil City on April 25, 1972 to Theodore Schillinger and Sandra (Smith) Schillinger Neubauer. 

                Shawn graduated from Oil City High School in 1992 and then attended the University of Pittsburgh.  He obtained a real estate license from Century 21 while living in Florida. 

                He was of the Methodist faith. 

                Shawn loved being a music disc jockey, and was well known as "D.J. Slinger."  He enjoyed providing techno, drum, and bass music for parties and at clubs. 

                He was also an excellent sharpshooter; and enjoyed earth and space science, animals, import and craft beers, skateboarding, swimming, cooking, and grilling. 

                While living in Florida for ten years, he worked at the Office Depot, Century 21 Real Estate, and his favorite job was working as Supervisor of rides and shows for Universal Studios in Orlando. 

                He is survived by his father, Ted Schillinger of Oil City; his mother, Sandra Neubauer of Oil City; a brother, Robert Neubauer and his girlfriend, Brooke Biernesser of Oil City; a son, Kody Schillinger of Orlando; two daughters, Lilly and Loki Schillinger of Pittsburgh; a former spouse, Jennifer Schilliinger DeCicco of Orlando; a former spouse, Cortney Bell-Schillinger of Pitsburgh; two nephews, Hunter and John Neubauer; and his grandfather, Kenneth Smith of Oil City. 

                He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rose Marie Smith; and his paternal grandparents, Edward and Zona Schillinger. 

                Friends will be received Monday (January 16th) from noon until 3 p.m. in the Cornerstone Bible Church, 407 West First St. in Oil City, where a funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Tim Tygert, church pastor, officiating. 

                In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Venango County Humane Society, 286 South Main St., Seneca, PA  16346; or to Hile-Best Funeral Home, P.O. Box 245, Seneca, PA  16346.
