Ruth E. Jones, 79, a resident of The Caring Place in Franklin, formerly of Pleasantville, died at 7:46 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 shortly after her arrival to UPMC Northwest in Seneca. 

                She was born in Oil City on May 30, 1938 to the late Wreath and Dora (Snyder) Soles. 

                Ruth enjoyed reading, crocheting, and spending time with her family, friends, and grandchildren. 

                She was married to Richard W. Jones, and he survives.  He resides in Pleasantville. 

                Also surviving are four children:  Richard E. Jones and his wife Alice of Saegertown, Robert E. Jones and his wife Brenda of Titusville, Rebecca E. Stanton and her husband Michael of Florida, and Rhonda E. Craig of Pleasantville; and 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. 

                Mrs. Jones has two brothers, Ralph and John Soles, both of Florida; and a sister, Carol Burgess and her husband Steve, also of Florida. 

                In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Mae Massey; a brother, Carl Soles; her infant twin brother; a granddaughter, and a great-granddaughter.

                A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, July 29th beginning at 3 p.m. in the Shamburg Christian Church of God, 15995 Rouseville Road, Pleasantville.
