Roberta S. Wielandt, 56, of Franklin, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, June 20, 2017 at UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie.

Roberta was born on July 14, 1960 in Brookville. She was the daughter of James Dinger, of Corsica, and the late Mildred Henry Dinger. She was a 1978 graduate of Cranberry High School and later graduated with a legal assistant degree from Clarion University’s Venango Campus.

She was employed for more than 20 years as a Health and Safety Administrator at Joy in Franklin. In her younger years, Roberta attended the Van United Methodist Church. She was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan, enjoyed the company of her cat, Harley, and was a proud “grammy” to her five grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.

She is survived by her father, James Dinger, and his wife, Lois, of Corsica; a son, Vernon G. Wielandt Jr. and his girlfriend, Desiree Estep, of Franklin, five grandchildren, Aliyah, Madison, Jozlynn, and Lucas Wielandt and Avery Thomas; also surviving are two sisters, her twin, Robin Harris and companion, Ken Snyder, of Franklin, and Pam Dinger, of Corsica; two brothers, Calvin Dinger and his wife, Tina, of Seneca, and Jeff Dinger and his wife Judy, of Oil City; a step-sister, Diane Maskery and her husband, Ray, of New Wilmington; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred, as well as her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Friends will be received at the Hile-Best Funeral Home Inc., 2781 Rt. 257, Seneca, in Cranberry Twp., from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday (June 22).   A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday (June 23), from the funeral home. Interment will be in Jefferson Cemetery, near Brookville.
