Larry J. Snyder

           Larry J. Snyder, 72, of Kennerdell, Rockland Township, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Thursday evening, June 15, 2017, shortly after his arrival to UPMC Northwest in Seneca. 

            He was born in Franklin on May 9, 1945, the son of the late Robert C. and Viola I. (Titus) Snyder. 

            Larry was a 1965 graduate of Cranberry High School. 

            He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed woodworking, being on his John Deere tractor, and riding the four-wheeler.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. 

            Mr. Snyder worked at C&S Vending, Seneca Chemical, and prior to his retirement, was employed by Janitors Supply, Inc. in Erie. 

            He was married in the Pine Hill Church on June 21, 1969 to the former Pamela J. Fike, and she survives, along with their three children: Denise Scarbrough and her husband Joshua of Seneca, Clint Snyder of Rockland, and Tyler Snyder and his wife Nicole of Seneca; and seven grandchildren: Cassandra, Christian, Cheyne, and Callen Scarbrough, Grant Snyder, and Dean and Hannah Snyder. 

            Also surviving are two sisters, Betty M. Whitman and Phyllis A. Snyder, both of Kennerdell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

             He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Brian Snyder. 

            Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Larry's life that will be held on Monday (June 19) from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township. 

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Venango County Humane Society, 286 South Main St., Seneca, PA  16346.
