Juanita A. Perry

November 22, 1935 ~ November 24, 2017 (age 82) 82 Years Old


             Juanita A. Perry, 82, of Seneca, died Friday afternoon, November 24, 2017 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. 

            She was born in Pittsburgh on November 22, 1935 to the late Fred W. and Anna Irene (Weissel) Buckholtz. 

            Juanita was a member of the Red Hat Society. 

            She was a member of St. Stephen Church in Oil City, and enjoyed attending programs and services at the Heckathorn United Methodist Church as well. 

            Juanita enjoyed crocheting, her dogs, camping, and playing Bingo. 

            Mrs. Perry was employed for many years as a packer at Foster Forbes Glass Plant in Oil City, and also worked at the Oil City Hospital and the Venango Training and Development Center in Seneca. 

            She was married in St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church on September 30, 1961 to Robert "Bob" Perry, and he survives. 

            Also surviving are two children: Kathy "Tink" Schrecengost and her husband Charles of Brookville, and William Perry of Seneca; a special friend of the family, Lance Davis of West Springfield; four grandchildren: Ed Schrecengost and his wife Megan of Summerville, Missy Gustafson and her husband Tom of Brookville, Kristy Nale and her husband John of Seneca, and Anna Perry of Venus and her fiancé Kelton Burkhart of Rockland; and four great-grandchildren: Emily, Charlie, Oliver, and David. 

            Also surviving is her brother, Fred Buckholtz and his wife Judy of Seneca; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

            Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Anna Buckholtz. 

            Family and friends will be received Tuesday (Nov. 28) from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township.  A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m.

            Interment will follow in Heckathorn Cemetery in Seneca, Cranberry Township. 

            Memorial contributions may be made to the Venango County Humane Society, 286 S. Main St., Seneca, PA  16346; or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
