Juanita L. McCauley

Juanita L. McCauley, 63, of Fryburg, went to be with the Lord at 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at her residence, surrounded by loving family. 

            She was born in Oil City on June 15, 1953, the daughter of Ruth M. (Westfall) Daugherty, of Plumer, and the late Jack M. Daugherty. 

            Juanita graduated from Oil City High School with the class of 1971. 

            She worked many years at Kopper Chemicals, Merisol, and Rhone Poulenc in Rouseville.

            Mrs. McCauley was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Seneca. 

            Juanita loved feeding the wild birds and rabbits around her property, and making friends with the chipmunks and squirrels that frequented the yard.  She enjoyed flowers, gardening, crafts, and traveling. 

            She was married in Venus on June 15, 1985 to Arthur L. McCauley, and he survives. 

            Also surviving is her mother, Ruth Daugherty; two step-sons, Scott McCauley and his wife Sherry and Kevin McCauley and his friend Lisa Eller; a daughter-in-law, Nellie McCauley and her friend Tim Varner;  two granddaughters, Megan and Jade; and four grandsons, Jason, Joel, Jerome, and Jordan. 

            She is also survived by  two sisters, Jacqueline Lee Gilbert and Rebecca Sue McDonald and her husband Al, all of Oil City; and her nieces and nephews:  Patti Lu McIntyre and her husband Peter, Brigette DeArmen and husband Stephen, Jennifer Perkins and husband Timothy, Ron Daugherty and wife Kelly, Sherri Fletcher and husband Kelly, Michael Deeter and wife Lori, Curtis Deeter and wife Melanie, and Brynne Deeter and her companion Dan Lauer.  Numerous great-nieces and great-nephews also survive; as well as dear friends, Anne Jackson, Virginia Starling, and Margaret Snyder.

            She was preceded in death by her father, Jack M. Daugherty; her maternal and paternal grandparents, her brother, Robert "Randy" Daugherty, a niece, Shannon Long; and a brother-in-law, Fred Gilbert. 

            Friends will be received Saturday (July 16th) from 2 - 4 p.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, Inc., 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township, where the funeral service will follow Saturday (July 16th) at 4 p.m.   The Rev. Glenn Miller, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, will officiate. 

            Memorial contributions may be made to the Sandra J. Schulze American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, 411 Second Street N.W., Rochester, Minnesota, 55901.
