Joseph E. Frawley

Joseph E. Frawley, 65, of Red Line Road in Kennerdell, Rockland Township, died Thursday morning, July 28, 2016 at Sugarcreek Station in Franklin. 

            He was born October 4, 1950 in Titusville to the late Dr. Richard K. and Geraldine G. (McCoy) Frawley. 

            Joe graduated from St. Joseph Academy in Titusville and served as the senior class president. 

            Mr. Frawley attended the Rockland United Methodist Church. 

            Joe enjoyed time spent with his family and grandchildren, and prior to his illness he loved the outdoors and the nature that Rockland and Kennerdell provided, and rode his four-wheeler throughout the area.  He enjoyed floating down the Allegheny River, antique cars, including his 1931 Dodge Coupe, researching local history, and spending time at the family summer home located on Manitoulin Island in Ontario.  He also cherished the companionship of his dog, "Bull." 

            Mr. Frawley worked as a boilermaker, most recently with Witherup Fabrication and Erection in Kennerdell.  He previously founded several local businesses. 

            Joe was married in the Rockland United Methodist Church on August 1, 1998 to the former Faye A. Edwards, and she survives. 

            Also surviving is a son, Dustin R. Frawley and his wife Steffi B. Frawley of Pittsburgh; five step-children, Bethany F. Gleim and husband Paul of Atlanta, Ga., Fred T. Piercy, Jr. and wife Kelly of Saline, Mich., Gregory D. Piercy and wife Jennifer of Kennerdell, Sheila E. Kratzer and husband Brian of Seneca, and Timothy D. Edwards of Saline, Michigan; two granddaughters, Mira A. and Ella M. Frawley; and ten step-grandchildren:  Johnathan and Joshua Mularski, Fred and Charlie Piercy, Mallory and Emma Piercy, Megan and Melissa Kratzer, and Alex and Steven Gleim. 

            He is also survived by two sisters, Sara E. Davis and her husband Robert, and Ruth K. Frawley; and three nephews and two nieces.

            In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judith A. Frawley; and a step-grandson, Justin D. Mularski. 

            Friends will be received Saturday (July 30) from 2 - 4 p.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, Inc., 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township, where the funeral service will follow Saturday at 4 p.m. Interment will follow in Rockland Cemetery, Kennerdell.
