He was married to the love of his life, Margaret "Peggy" (Lehman) Borland on July 12, 1958; and she was waiting for him at Heaven's Gate with her arms open wide.

A member of Seneca United Methodist Church, Mick volunteered with the Church Food Pantry, sang in the choir, and cooked hotdogs at the annual church yard sale.

Frank loved the outdoors, especially camping.  He and his wife co-owned and operated East Sandy Creek Campground with Jim and Jean Bell.  In later years, he was the honored guest at trout camp.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events.

Borland and his wife Penny of Franklin; and Douglas P. Borland and his wife Lisa of Fort Mill, South Carolina.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren:  Kayla Shaderline, Cody Shaderline and his fiancé Roslyn, Nahtanha Brown and her husband Vern, Nathan Borland and his wife Angela, Tierney Goncalves and her husband Lu, Emily Taylor and her fiancé  John, and Tyler and Justin Borland; and nine great-grandchildren: Josh, Zak, Connor, Rebekah, Rachael, Isabellah, Giulianna, Giovanni, and Lilliannah.

Through the years, many pets have become members of the Borland family. During the last five years, "Teddy" has been Mick's faithful companion.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mick was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Paul Lehman; and a brother-in-law, Denny Lehman and his wife Joanne, and their son, Nathan.
