Darrel Fenstermaker, age 47, of Sporer Road in Venus, Pinegrove Township, died unexpectedly of natural causes at his home Saturday morning, April 22, 2017.

      He was born in Titusville on May 17, 1969 to the late Lawrence E. and Martha A. (Thompson) Fenstermaker.  

      Darrel attended Cranberry schools.  

      He enjoyed hunting, working on vehicles and tractors, and the companionship of his dogs.  He collected tractors, and had a beautiful voice and like to sing.  

          Darrel was a man of many talents, and worked for Snyder Auto Body in Tylersburg and Union Drilling in Punxsutawney. 

          He was married in Kossuth on March 30, 1991 to the former Angela Slye, and she survives, along with four children:  Brian Fenstermaker of Shoemakersville, Darrel "Allen" Fenstermaker, Katrina Fenstermaker, and Makayla Fenstermaker and her fiancé Garrett Shaw, all of Venus; and two grandchildren, Averi and Riley Fenstermaker. 

          Also surviving are his brothers and sisters: Pamela Palm and her husband Richard of Oil City, Karen Weiss and her husband Al of Ellenton, Florida, Aaron Fenstermaker of Venus, Laura Hook and her husband Stephen of Knox, Lucinda Eck of Seneca, Kevin Fenstermaker of Venus, Paula Klingler and her husband Michael of Oil City, and his twin brother, David Fenstermaker and his wife Jodi of Lake Lucy; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Merritt and Patty Slye of Oil City; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

          He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Martha Fenstermaker; and a brother, Daniel Fenstermaker. 

          Friends and family will be received Tuesday (April 25) from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township.  A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday (April 26) at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Bush, pastor of Pine City Free Methodist Church, officiating.  Private interment will follow in the Venus Cemetery.
