Carol Ann Overmoyer

December 23, 1947 ~ October 27, 2017 (age 69) 69 Years Old


Carol Ann (Zelinski) Overmoyer,  69, of Tionesta, President Twp., Venango County, went Home to the Lord Friday morning, October 27, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, following a brief illness. 

 

She was born in Titusville on December 23, 1947 to the late Ernest and Vivian (Fry) Zelinski.

 

She was a 1965 graduate of Titusville High School.  Carol later graduated in 1988 from the St. Vincent Nursing School in Erie.  She and her class were recognized by the Governor's office for outstanding academic achievement on their nursing board exams.   

 

Carol worked as an R.N. and cardiac nurse from 1988 through 1995 at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie.  

 

Carol Ann was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Seneca. 

 

She enjoyed deer hunting, shopping, antiques, traveling to Texas to visit family, arts and crafts, and painting.  Carol will be remembered for her witty sense of humor.  She was very compassionate, and gave of her time to drive her Amish friends to errands and appointments. 

         

She is survived by her sister, Erna Hrebik and her husband, Dr. F. Robert Hrebik of North Richland Hills, Texas; her good friend and longtime companion, Donald Baker of Franklin; her niece and nephew:  Lisa Krashoc Gabel and her husband Blake of Winnsboro, Texas, and Arthur Mantz of Ellicott City, Maryland; and her great-niece and great-nephew: Rachel and William  Krashoc.

 

Carol is also survived by an aunt, Maggie Mangini and her husband Bob of Arizona; and several cousins including her neighbor in President village, Tom Higbee. 

 

Visitation will be held Saturday (Nov. 4th) from Noon until 2 p.m. in Faith Baptist Church, 235 Horsecreek Road in Seneca, where the funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Larry Williams, officiating.  Interment will follow in Rynd Farm Cemetery near Rouseville.
