Albert H. Dunkle

                 Albert H. Dunkle, 76, of Cranberry, passed away peacefully at 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Oil City Healthcare & Rehab. 

                Born in Oil City on December 2, 1940, he was a son of the late Samuel and Renee (Demilly) Dunkle. 

                Al graduated in 1960 from Cranberry High School. 

                He was a member of the Knox Rod & Gun Club. 

                Mr. Dunkle worked as a meat cutter with Riverside Markets, and also worked at Seneca Hardwoods Lumber Company. 

                Al loved the outdoors, gardening, working in his yard, and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and trapper.  He was a great friend and mentor to many. 

                He was married in the Free Methodist Church in Oil City on June 18, 1965 to the former Carol D. Swartz, and she survives, along with their daughter, Maria Carter and her husband Doug of Rocky Grove; a granddaughter, Ellie Rae Feely and her fiancé Alex Wheaton of Cochranton; and a grandson, Randy Alan Winters, Jr. of Meadville. 

                Also surviving are two sisters, Joanne Tudor and her husband Robert of Grand Valley, and Vivian Zacherl of Lucinda; two brothers, Raymond Dunkle and his wife Sue of Clintonville, and Harold Dunkle of Washington, D.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

                In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Wickman; and five brothers, George, Robert, Paul, Ed, and Ronald Dunkle. 

                A memorial celebration is being planned, and additional details will be announced at a later date. 

                The Hile-Best Funeral Home in Seneca, Cranberry Township is completing funeral arrangements.
